Why the smallest Kindle screen needs a simpler image

At 6 inches and 1072 × 1448 pixels, this is the smallest and most compact screen in the current Kindle lineup. Detail that reads clearly on Scribe’s much larger display, like fine linework or a busy scene with a lot going on, tends to compress into noise here.

Images with one clear subject, strong contrast, and simple shapes hold up best: a single portrait, bold typography, or a high-contrast illustration. Photos with a lot of small, similar-toned detail, like a dense bookshelf or a crowd, are harder to read once they’re scaled down this far.
